8:09AM - Here come Lights Out New England! Less than 10 minutes with lines in the water and the squad have already equaled their total from day 1.
8:20AM - South Florida Sails extend their lead with another sailfish release. Any club that look to take the lead from the Sails will need
8:26AM - TWO IF BY SEA! On the 250th Anniversary of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride, Lights out New England secure their second fish of the day within the first 30 minutes and are climbing up the leaderboard. In last night's power rankings, SFC Insider said to never count out any boat with Ray Rosher on it. Shooters never miss twice.
8:42AM - Here. Comes. Lights. Out. Third of the morning and are even on points with East Coast Remix Angling Club for third place. Remix have the tie breaker, but will need to start hooking fish to keep their place.
9:09AM - Confirmed double for New Jersey Sea Birds! They draw even on points with East Coast Remix and the Lights Out New England.
9:10AM - East Coast Remix hook up on a sailfish with co-owner Kenny Hernandez seeing his first action of the tournament
9:16AM - Remix announce their sailfish came off! No points with that bite.
9:43AM - North Carolina Flare with a release! They move up to 6th and drop New York Granders to 7th. The Granders may have made the run up north again, with all the action happening south at the moment.
9:48AM - Lights Out with a fourth!
9:50AM - South Carolina Outcast with their first of day two and are back in contention for the lead.
10:23AM - Outcast with another! The Charleston, South Carolina crew are now in sole possession of the lead with 600 points.
11:11AM - New Jersey Sea Birds get a full catch and release LIVE on SFC+! They jump East Coast Remix and are catching up to Lights Out New England.
11:21AM - Lights Out! The beat rolls on, and they officially have 5 releases on the day.
11:34AM - North Carolina Flare climb up another place with their second release of the day.
11:41AM - Outcast with another double! Steven Lackey & Trey Kemmerlin are putting in work.
11:48AM - Leonard Williams gets his first sail of the day as South Florida Sails is looking to mount a comeback.
11:55AM - New Jersey Sea Birds with another release and keep pace with Lights Out New England.
11:58AM - And just like that, Lights Out New England secure another release. with 525 points, Lights Out are setting their sights on South Florida Sails.
12:12PM - No lunchtime lull for the sailfish today. Lights Out New England with yet another release! If they beat South Florida Sails to the next release, Lights Out will take sole possession of second place.
12:21PM - South Carolina Outcast extend their lead with yet another release by Trent Bonifay! 825 points now for Outcast.
12:24PM - While North Carolina Flare fought a shark, a sailfish was hooked and released
12:33PM - South Carolina Outcast are looking to pull away! Steven Lackey releases another sailfish.
1:09PM - North Carolina Flare are settling in and release their fourth sailfish of the day.
1:47PM - Several angling clubs are making moves during the mid-afternoon lull. Those reported to be on the move include South Florida Sails, South Carolina Outcast, New York Granders.
1:55PM - The move loooks to be paying off for South Florida Sails Angling Club, who report they're HOOKED UP on a double! If they convert both, the extra 150 points will cut into The Outcast's lead.
2:04PM - South Florida Sails secure the double! An extra 150 points for them to bring their total 750. That puts the Sails one sailfish behind South Carolina Outcast, but would need to secure two additional sailfish to take the outright lead.
2:23PM - Here comes South Florida Sails! Leonard Williams with another. The Sails are now EVEN with South Carolina Outcast on points, but the Outcast have the advantage with the earlier release.
2:25PM - New Jersey Sea Birds and Dave McKendrick releasing a sail! No skunk flag for the Sea Birds today as they take sole possession of of fourth place.
2:43PM - South Carolina Outcast snag another release, this time by junior angler Marlin David, hired gun Freddie David's son.
2:50PM - East Coast Remix get their first sailfish on the board for today. Captain JC Cleare and company were sitting in third place yesterday, and will look to climb back into contention.
3:35PM - East Coast Remix gets another one to bring their total to 450.
4:00PM - Lines out! All angling clubs are making their way back to Pier 66 to rest and reset for Championship Saturday. We've got a tight race to the finish. Lights Out New England showed everyone today that it doesn't matter where an angling club starts at the beginning of the day; everyone is in striking distance.
The wind is projected to blow stronger tomorrow, so there's potential to have it be the most action-packed day yet.
