Overview
SFC decends on one of the most iconic clubhouses and venues in competitive angling - the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club. The MBGFC Labor Day Invitational will crown the Gulf division champion and play a major part in the postseason pitcure. Mobile Big Game Fishing Club is also the home base for SFC's very own Alabama Angling Club.
The top four ranked angling clubs in the Gulf division at the end of the tournament punch their ticket to the Zane Grey Championship Playoffs.
THURSDAY: August 28th, 2025
4:00PM - 8:00PM: Registration, Optionals, Pick Up Ditty Bags
6:00PM- 9:00PM: Kick-off Party begins (Location: MBGFC Clubhouse)
8:00PM: Captains meeting in person (Mandatory - Location: MBGFC Clubhouse)
Note: The owner, captain, or registered angler must sign out on the official sign out sheet at the conclusion of the Captain’s Meeting or provide video verification of departure.
FRIDAY: August 29th, 2025 - FISHING DAY 1
8:30AM: Base Entry Registration Closed; Optional Cash Award Entry Deadline
9:00AM: Boats may not depart until the 9.00 am Perdido Pass Flare Start on Friday of the Tournament. The starting point of the Flare Start in Perdido Pass is inside the Farewell Buoy.
Note: Boats departing from Mobile Pass or Pensacola Pass or Destin Pass are allowed and are not required to attend the Flare Start in Perdido Pass; however, Boats may NOT depart other passes until 11:00AM with video verification of departure clearly showing landmarks from pass of departure and GPS Date /Time.
SATURDAY: August 30th, 2025 - FISHING DAY 2
7:00PM - 8:00PM: Contact MBGFC Weigh Dock Open if needed
SUNDAY: August 31st, 2025 - FISHING DAY 3
3:00PM - 7:00PM: MBGFC Weigh Dock Opens
6:00PM: Boats must clear Perdido Pass Rocks or be directly North of Perdido Pass Bridge
7:30PM: Tournament Awards + Cocktails & Apps (Location: MBGFC Clubhouse)
