Overview

Walker's Cay is northwest of the Abacos and fringed by its own barrier reef, makikng it one of the only places in the world where anglers can target bonefish and thousand-pound blue marlin in the same afternoon.

This legendary fishing destination has been brought back to life by American entrepreneur and philanthropist Carl Allen. The winning SFC angling club has the honor of climbing to the top of  the iconic Walker's Cay gantry and "capturing the flag," paying homage to the island's namesake resident Thomas Walker.

Walker was a British judge during the colonial era and was assigned to The Bahamas in the early 1700s by the empire to combat piracy. Walker died in 1721 and the island was left abandoned for more than 200 years, until it became the sport fishing haven we know it to be today.
