During the meeting with the press, Commodore Duval welcomed and thanked the support provided by sponsors, partners, local yacht clubs, and active participants from the United States, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela, among other friendly countries.

“Without you, it is not possible to celebrate the oldest and most emblematic tournament of our club. It's always a curfew in the fishing world. Thank you for supporting us and welcome back to your home," Duval said.

The director of the tournament, José Enrique Núñez, said that he has been working hard and he expects the registration of 25 to 30 boats with more than 150 fishermen on board.

“From the moment I was selected by the Board of Directors and the Fisheries Committee, our work team has not stopped working to offer an event at the height that has always been presented. I can announce here that we will exceed 25 boats and a hundred fishermen in this 57th edition of our club”, Núñez said when offering the central words.

The boats will be able to depart from Cabeza de Toro and Cap Cana during the three days of fishing. The program of activities begins Wednesday, April 26th with registration and delivery of supplies, then the captains' meeting will take place for any questions about the rules of the tournament.
