ATLANTIC DIVISION POWER RANKINGS: June 11, 2025

SFC Insider ranks the division halfway through the regular season.

SFC is set to begin the third week of a tournament triple-header. The conclusion of last week’s Charleston Billfish Cup ends back-to-back Atlantic Division tournaments, and now we are on the ground in Gulfport for a Gulf Division showdown: The Gulfport Mississippi Open. Check back this afternoon for the latest Gulf powe rankings.

Here’s how the clubs in the Atlantic Division rank according to SFC Insider:

1) New Jersey Sea Birds
The boys from exit 98 are still the squad to beat. A fourth-place finish helped protect their lead in the division points race, sitting atop the standings with the first berth into the Zane Grey Championship Playoffs. The schedule will continue to bring the Sea Birds into more familiar waters, concluding in their backyard in Cape May, New Jersey.

2) Lights Out New England
Captain Tyler Dufresne, Rob Carmichael and company have been consistent. Back-to-back podium finishes at Walker’s Cay and Charleston bring them plenty of positive momentum heading into the next stop on the division calendar, the Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic which is right in their backyard on Cape Cod.

3) East Coast Remix
Taking the win in Charleston did wonders for their confidence, which came off a frustrating week at Walker’s Cay. Captain JC Cleare and the squad have some experience up north, but not as much as the top two clubs in the power rankings.

4) North Carolina Flare
A second-place finish at the Charleston Billfish Cup was a significant improvement from the Flare’s first two placements this season. Heading further up the coast should provide more familiarity and confidence. Mathematically, the Flare are still in contention to make the final playoff berth, but Captain Brian Dressler and the crew are going to need to finish in the top three for the rest of the schedule, and hope the leaders run into a lot of trouble.

5) South Carolina Outcast
Dropping to fourth place in the standings, South Carolina Outcast are coming off a disappointing finish at their home event in Charleston. A strong finish in Oak Bluffs will be crucial for them to keep pace with the leaders and climb back into playoff contention.

6) New York Granders
It’s been a story of highs and lows for the ladies of the New York Granders so far, but only in tournament placings. The mood is always high on that boat. A third place finish at Walker’s Cay was followed with a sixth place finish in Charleston. Fortunately for the Granders, South Florida Sails were not in attendance, and were automatically the seventh place finishers.

7) South Florida Sails
Seventh-place points for not participating in the Charleston Billfish Cup hurt their points total significantly in the standings. The status of this club running with different teams the rest of the way leaves their playoff hopes in limbo.
