NFL Legends Join SFC's The Catch, Powered by Verizon
Three Super Bowl Champions and an Outland Trophy Winner form the initial Legends lineup
(Dallas, TX, February 28, 2025) – The first four NFL Legends joining SFC’s The Catch, Powered by Verizon have been officially revealed. Hosted by quarterback Jameis Winston, The Catch, is a three-day, two-night event taking place April 11-13, 2025 at Pier Sixty-Six Resort & Marina in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Joining the previously-announced roster of current NFL Superstars are four Legends of football’s past:
- Plaxico Burress, WR (Super Bowl Champion, Pro Bowl)
- Trey Burton, QB (Super Bowl Champion)
- Bryant McKinnie, OL (Pro Bowl, Outland Trophy)
- Domenik Hixon, WR (Super Bowl Champion)
Fans can book limited VIP travel, hospitality, and competition packages to fish alongside the NFL Superstars and Legends, with more expected to be announced in the lead-up to The Catch.
The full weekend schedule for “SFC’s The Catch Powered by Verizon,” consists of a poolside party and Live At The Catch Concert on day one, the pro-am style fishing competition and awards ceremony on day two, with more activities planned for day three.
Verizon returns as the title sponsor of The Catch for the second consecutive year, lending its 5G technology to drive connectivity between competitors and viewers, while also optimizing the SFC fan experience on-site.
All events from The Catch support the Coast Guard Foundation – the premier non-profit organization that supports U.S. Coast Guard members by providing resources to members and families that build resilience and strengthen the entire community. The Coast Guard Foundation receives SFC’s highest-level of corporate support, serving as one of the league’s “Community Champions” since 2023.
