MBGFC Labor Day Invitational

The offshore fishing world decends on one of the most iconic clubhouses and venues in competitive angling - the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club. In 2024, the Alabama Offshore Open debuts in the heart of the Gulf South during the peak of summer billfishing season.

SFC Gulf Division competitors will reach the final Gulf Championship Stop and give it one last go before 12-teams are solidified for the 2024 Zane Grey Championship Playoffs taking place in Cabo, San Lacus, Mexico Oct. 19-21.

Thursday, August 29th
3:00-5:30 pm – Registration, Optionals, Pick up Ditty Bags
5:30-6:00 pm – Mandatory Captain’s Meeting at Clubhouse
6:00-9:00 pm – Party (Dinner, Drinks, Band)

Friday, August 30th
10:00 am – Optional awards close
11:00 am – Shotgun Start at Perdido Pass Farewell Buoy
Boats may not depart until the Friday 11 PM Perdido Pass Flare Start of the Tournament. All boats must depart from Perdido Pass. The starting point will be north of the Farewell Buoy. VHF check out required. Please remember that the owner, captain, or registered angler must sign out on the official sign out sheet after the captains meeting. Please refer to Labor Day tournament pages of tournament book for specific rules, guidelines, fishing times, etc.
