Texas A&M Football Legend Terrence Murphy Joins Third Coast Renegades Ownership Group
Murphy is now a powerhouse real estate entrepreneur whose has facilitated more than $5 billion in acquisitions and sales.
(Dallas, TX, July 5, 2025) — Sport Fishing Championship today announced that Terrence C. Murphy Sr., former NFL wide receiver and real estate entrepreneur, has joined the ownership group of Third Coast Renegades Angling Club. Murphy, a native of East Texas, is one of the most decorated wide receivers in Texas A&M University history. Murphy was a two-time All American, two-time First Team All-Big 12 selection, three-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree. He was selected in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Murphy still holds the Aggies’ record for all-purpose yards.
Third Coast Renegades Angling Club’s represents the Greater Houston exclusive rights territory, which stretches from Port Arthur at the Louisiana State line to the Houston/Galveston area. The “Third Coast” name has been used to describe the Gulf Coast of the United States, and also refers to Houston’s history as a major film set location for movies over the years, behind Los Angeles and New York. Houston is a top-10 DMA, representing nearly 2.5 million households. The club competes in SFC’s Gulf Division and currently lead the season’s points race.

After his playing career, Murphy built one of Texas's most respected real estate companies. Murphy has founded, acquired or invested in more than 110 companies and he has facilitated more than $5 Billion in acquisitions and sales for his career.
