Since the launch of Sport Fishing Championship (SFC), Courtney has been an integral part of the team, growing into her leadership role over three complete seasons. She has played pivotal roles in major SFC events, including the regular billfish season, The Catch, SFC Media Days, and several destination playoffs.
Courtney has been instrumental in building and organizing SFC’s tournament tours, which span 12 tournament destinations over a four-month period from April to August. She has also overseen social media, marketing, public relations, production, and more, establishing a strong foundation for her growth and leadership within the organization. Her strategic vision has driven remarkable social media growth for SFC, achieving a combined reach increase of over 600% on Instagram and Facebook in 2023, significantly amplifying the championship’s presence and connection with the fishing community. She was also pivotal in launching The Catch, which garnered over one billion media impressions and one of the largest TV audiences for a fishing show, averaging 490,000 viewers on CBS Sports. Additionally, she manages all SFC public relations and media, including the announcement of the sport’s first-ever study of fishing fans, Fishing’s Emerging Fan Base.
Courtney’s personal journey is deeply tied to her passion for fishing and sports. Raised in Miami, FL, she grew up fishing from a young age, inspired by her father, a pivotal role model in her life. A graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Business Sports Marketing, Courtney also excelled as a high-level soccer player, competing for the University of Miami (UM) and FIT before playing professionally in South America and Australia.
Her love for fishing and sports drives her success at SFC and fuels her passion for what the company is doing to elevate the fishing industry. Courtney’s commitment to delivering world-class events and advancing the sport on a global stage reflects her lifelong dedication to both fishing and competitive sports.
